Actual Visit Experience
Date: Thursday, November 7, 2024 (Dinner, 2 people)
We started with a grilled eggplant salad as an appetizer.
I never liked eggplant because of its mushy texture, but Sushisaku completely changed my mind.
It seemed like they charred it over direct fire, making the outside crispy instead of mushy. I was blown away!
After the salad, the first sushi plate arrived.
The staff kindly explained the order to eat – from left to right (starting with white fish).
Plate 1:
Flounder, Sea Bream, Salmon, Bluefin Tuna, Squid, and Sweet Shrimp (6pcs)
They don’t provide fresh wasabi with the second plate, so make sure to save some in your soy sauce dish!
Plate 2:
Tuna, Swordfish, Salmon, Prawn, Eel, Futomaki Roll, and Tamagoyaki (7pcs)
Again, eat from left to right!
After finishing both plates, you can request one more piece of sushi of your choice.
I asked for another flounder (because I’m a flounder lover ♥♥♥).
Then a small rice bowl (donburi) is served, followed by dessert – ice cream topped with misutgaru (roasted grain powder).
It had a nutty, rich flavor, but be careful not to inhale the powder while eating!
We had a full meal for around 10,000 KRW per person (lunch) or 20,000 KRW (dinner).
I’m working on creating a blog compiling all the great restaurants in Songdo so that when someone asks,
“What good restaurants are there in Songdo?”
